BIG DEAL is a free satirical paper about Dallas and the endless sprawl around it: Garland, Uptown, Bishop Arts, Frisco, the part of Plano that is technically a Chick-fil-A, and every toll road between them.

It's printed every month and handed out at the places you actually hang out: breweries, coffee shops, record stores, diners and laundromats. Pick one up, read it at the bar, pass it to the person next to you.

What we do

• Report the news, slightly wrong on purpose.
• Review brunch spots by wait time alone.
• Track which neighborhood is "the new Bishop Arts" this week.
• Make funny ads for local businesses that are brave enough to laugh at themselves.
